About the Museum
The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum is America's national institution for the documentation, study, and interpretation of Holocaust history, and serves as this country's memorial to the millions of people murdered during the Holocaust. The Museum's primary mission is to advance and disseminate knowledge about this unprecedented tragedy; to preserve the memory of those who suffered; and to encourage its visitors to reflect upon the moral and spiritual questions raised by the events of the Holocaust as well as their own responsibilities as citizens of a democracy.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Museum's Director Digital Engagement, the Digital Marketing Manager will lead the strategy, development and coordination of targeted email marketing and related digital marketing initiatives designed to increase audience acquisition, membership conversion and deepen engagement around our cause. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in building audiences with both inbound and outbound marketing tactics. You will lead projects from concept through launch, working independently, interdepartmentally, and with strategic agency partners.
Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Work with Digital Engagement, Integrated Marketing Communications and Membership leadership to develop and implement audience segmentation and targeted email marketing strategies to support contact acquisition, cultivation and retention program.

Manage a very active and dynamic email marketing calendar, partnering with stakeholders across the Museum and external agency strategic partner to resolve mailing list overlaps and develop effective suppression strategies.

Primary focus on outbound email communications, but also will be responsible for developing and implementing a baseline SEO and SEM (using our Google Grant) program to enhance the Museum's inbound audience acquisition.

Work closely with Analytics team to analyze data reports and develop campaign metrics, optimization and audience strategies.

Gather input and coordinate with social media strategist, ad/media buyer, digital story telling team, etc. to best utilize all resources available for a given email campaign.
